Heartline

Heartline Ministry helps us love and encourage elderly members who can’t attend church regularly. This month we’re celebrating Jonell Buckles’ 89th, Larry Holloway’s 73rd and Stephen “Beaver” Trousdale’s 73rd. If you’d like to bless them, bring a card by December 15 and place it in the Heartline box at the back.

Women's Life Group

Ladies, join us in the Fellowship Hall for a great time of connection, conversation, and studying God’s Word together.

When you consider Jesus’ unquestionable impact on history and the radical claim He made about himself, it becomes crystal clear: Jesus is not a person you can just overlook. Every person must have an informed opinion of this this Man.

Doors open at 6 PM—come early and hang out! Switch isn’t just church—it’s where faith, fun, and friends collide! Every Wednesday night, enjoy food, music, games, and real moments with God. Bring your crew—you won’t want to miss it!

Men’s Fellowship Breakfast!

Men, join us in the Fellowship Hall for a delicious, man-sized meal to get you ready to tackle the day. If you can come early (by 7:30 AM) to help prepare, we’d appreciate the extra hands! RSVP at the back so we can plan enough food. Donations welcome.

Christmas Choir

Join our Christmas Choir as we celebrate the season with joyful worship! Practice begins December 4, 11 & 18 at 6 PM in the sanctuary. November 16 is the deadline to sign up — only 10 spots available!

Candlelight Service

Make plans for you and your loved ones to join us for a meaningful candlelight service as we celebrate the birth of our Savior. This is a family service—children are warmly welcomed to attend and enjoy the evening with their parents. Kids Ministry will not be offered so our children and team can worship together with the church family.

Singles Fellowship 50+

All Singles 55+ are invited to start the new year with breakfast at Mike’s Restaurant, 117 Bryan Street in Dayton! Come enjoy great food and connection. Each person will cover their own meal & meet at the restaurant.

Prayer and Fasting

As we step into a new year—and a new season for our church—we’re beginning 2026 with 21 days of prayer and fasting. We believe God is calling Old River Assembly to turn a spiritual corner, individually and as a church family. Old River Assembly is setting aside time to seek the Lord, hear His voice, realign our hearts, and make room for the fresh things God wants to do in us.

Young Adults

Anchor Group

Anchor Young Adults (Ages 20–40s) meets on the second Saturday of every month! Join us at Porky’s Backyard Food Truck Park (5131 Atascocita Rd., Humble). For those who’d like to carpool, the church van will leave at 5 PM, or you can meet us at Porky’s at 6 PM. Please bring money for your food. No childcare provided, but bring the kids. We’d love to see you there!
