Baby and Child Dedication

What is Baby and Child Dedication? Baby and Child Dedication is a moment where your family stands before God and your church community to declare: this child belongs to Him. It's not a salvation ceremony — it's a covenant of intention. You are committing to raise your child in the truth of God's Word, and Old River Assembly is committing right back — to walk with you, equip you, and cheer you on every step of the way. Just as Hannah lifted her son Samuel to the Lord in prayer and surrender, dedication is an act of open hands and believing faith. It's one of the most powerful things you can do as a parent.

Who is it for and What Happens?

We dedicate babies through children who have not yet made their own personal decision to follow Jesus. We gather families together for a special moment during a Sunday service. Our Pastors and our Ministry Team pray over each child by name, speak blessing over your family, and celebrate with your church community.
